Bub's at the Ballpark is our addition to the historical honors of downtown San Diego, East Village and PetCo Park.Embracing both history and the growing traditions of America's Finest City, Bub's was constructed using various architectural salvage from throughout the West coast, including reclaimed wood, scrap metal, and reused brick.Bub's is a place where locals and visitors alike enjoy one-of-a-kind entertainment and food. Watch the game on our vast array of plasmas and projectors or take shots on our in-house basketball court in between games of shuffleboard. Relax and sip drinks at one of the community tables or our giant circle bar. Or indulge in some of our famous Lunch Lady Tater Tots or Steaky Steakums at the old school lunch counter or outside on our expansive wooden deck.Born in 1996, "Another Man's Stupid Idea of fun" has evolved into Pacific Beach's and now downtown's go-to spot for food and fun. Great place to hang out before a Padres game but gets incredibly packed. Great service tho for as packed as it gets and the food is good too!

Good sports bar to hit before baseball games or events at Petco. Good bar food and variety of drink options. Loaded nachos are not on the menu, but they offer them, just ask,BUT I recommend the tater tots and they about 12 different options to choose from, so something for everyone.

Lots of space and televisions. Good. Service was kinda slow, although it was shift changing time. First waitress was great. Second one, not so much. Garbage wings sound iffy, but we loved them. I'll go back for those.

Love this place. Happy hour deals are amazing. Overall prices are fair, happy he is great. Atmosphere is fantastic. Wings were delicious. Restaurant and bathrooms kept quite clean. Server by name of Sarah is an absolute delight.

Such an awesome joint! You can't beat the location right in the heart of downtown San Diego. Perfect for stopping in before a game or after or both. Or if you're just looking to grab a beer or two and watch a game.

Okay... Not so old but approaching old rant here. I started patroning the original location in Pacific Beach before the expansion. Amazing food, amazing staff, truly a diver bar, and cheap food. Not so much anymore. Except for the amazing staff part.

Great atmosphere and really good bar food. I highly recommend lemon pepper wings. Also the Guacamole is some of the best you will find at a trendy bar. Good location behind Padres Stadium Petco Park. Shuffle board and even a basketball hoop among other bar games. I would give 5 stars if it were a little less pricey but due to ballpark location I'm sure they pay high rent.

Imagine a place thats casual, fun, got great atmosphere and really nice American style finger food & meals and you’ve got Bubs! As a non-beer drinker, this place accommodates even my lack if taste in beer - for a beer drinker it must be a dream! lots of selection to choose & try - equally great for friends as for a very casual business get together

Food was very filling and tasty. Bacon taster was super under done. Consider asking for well cooked bacon when getting taster.

Beer was good, nice selection of local beers. Tots were okay but I don't think they are the best. A few dipping sauces would add to the tots. Burger bun should have had something on it to add moisture. Service was slow and the waitress never came back to see how the food was or if I needed anything.

This was my very first visit. The food was awesome. The burger was made exactly as I like it and the tots weren’t soft like at some other places. Good atmosphere and conversation with others. I would definitely stop here again no questions asked!

I was there Nation championship football night, the food and service was great! Went back the next night the service was great the tots great the burger sucked! I'm not sure what happened? Both waitress Great!

Came here while the Cubs were in town and it was packed. and loud. our server busted her hump to get our food to us. but we were on our own to find an open table. we had to help bus a recently vacant table. I had the everything wings. and they throw everything on these bad boys. there was no way I could finish them on my own. for being a restaurant close to the ball park it seems to be popular place with the locals.

Such delicious wings! All their sauces have been so good! My favorite is the Carolina gold or if you want spicier get the Carolina hot. Their vegan cauliflower wings are every bit as good as the chicken too

Solid place. I tried tots, which was a new thing for me as a European, and really liked them. The burger was fine, too. The beer not so much and staff a bit too intrusive, coming two our table each two minutes asking if we need something.

The perfect sports bar to come before or after a game or anytime you want some good food and beverage. I love the loaded tots, and the bacon flight is a favorite. There's a ton of TV'S so on game day there will be no problem finding your favorite team. They are close to the ballpark so be sure to stop by before and after the game.

This is my favorite sports bar in downtown. It's seriously hard to beat. Even though their food is a little expensive, everything on their menu has proven to go above and beyond regular bar food. The servers always hustle hard so you get great service and the managers are very welcoming. They also have the best "game show night" in town on Wednesdays along with all you can eat wing deals.

Grilled wings smothered in lemon pepper seasoning. We went twice on our trip to SD. The first time we had an amazing waitress who helped us out and neve let our water cups go empty. The second experience was a little different. Our waitress seemed more Interested in going home , it wasnt a busy night yet we had to ask a few times for water, napkins and even the bill. Maybe it was just an off night for her. Either way we had a great time. Thanks bubs

Bub’s at The Ballpark is a fun sports bar within yards of Pet Co Park (The Padres Baseball Team). Great food and fun. Great, friendly service too. Try the sweet potato tater tots. They are delicious (and plentiful!)

Overall Bub's at the Ballpark was quite good. The food was wonderful. Service was great. The problem was the people walking by outside seamed stones or drunk and disrupted my meal with my wife. The volume inside was very loud. This is not a place for sitting down and easily expecting to hold a conversation with someone.

Bub’s At the Ballpark is another place I have been a few times, and enjoy it. I have no complaints. I’ve been told that they are known for their tater tots and they are a must! The most recent stop here was during Comic Con and even though they were quite busy, my group had a good time. Our server handled everything well and service was great. I ordered the Grill Cheese with the All The Way add on. The sandwich was huge; I had a hard time finishing it. You really do get your money worth. I will for sure be back to this place!

Been going here for a long time and always enjoyed it but recently they have been rude. The waiters and manager have been so abnormally rude. Almost as if they are going out of there way to make sure I have a terrible experience.

A neat "Pennsylvania" themed bar, located close to Petco Park. A typical bar, but with a wide variety of options, including cheep eats and healthy options as well. They are for sure known for their variety of Tater Tots. This is a very casual place, and a great place to go either before a padres game, or to watch the game on their multiple tv's. We went on a less busy day, and the service was a bit slow. We weren't greeted at the door and eventually found our own table. Eventually we were noticed. We seemed almost as an inconvenience to our waitress, which on a slow day is sort of disappointing. That said, we did meet one staff member who was super nice and told us a little history of the place. Overall, the food was great. The chicken wings are HUGE and have a great variety of flavour options. Lots of beer choices as well.

This place is great to me. Food is good, portions are great, people are friendly, only issues as with many good places is it can get crowded and seating can be hard to find, especially if you’re in a group of more than two.On a stay in San Diego for 5 days I visited this place about 3 or 4 times more due to other places being even more crowded or way more expensive. But still a good place (or at lease it has been to me) to eat and get a beer, definitely would recommend.

Fun happening place to watch the Padres! Staff was great and food started off tasty, but the side salad with mushrooms had me ill the whole weekend. Management should ensure quality control especially on busy weekends. Other than that issue, I enjoyed myself.

A decent bar and grill. A good number of TVs with sports channels hang around the bar and around the restaurant. The burgers are good and fries were hot and crispy. The chicken sandwich we had was excellent. Prices are fair for the area. Bartenders were all friendly.

Great food, atmosphere, and best burgers I've had in San Diego. Came in by chance a few years ago, and its now a regular place for me and my family. Also, being a Texan and an Aggie, seeing this tonight totally made my day!

Fun sports bar to watch a game and have a good time with friends.At times we been here service was average, it gets busy so we understand the server has to run around to cover all the tables.Happy hour is great with drinks, chicken wings and other appetizers at half price.Have a great time!!
